Restoration including Slate Roof and Leadwork

Works Carried Out

• Paint strip to masonry using a Peelaway system
• DOFF clean to façade
• Repoint to brick and stone masonry using a hot lime mortar
• Remove existing failed render, prepare and render using a hot lime mix
• Leadwork renewal to new details for improved weather protection to the parapet
• Reroof the slate pitched roofs
• Renew cast iron rainwater goods
• Install new timber sash windows with heritage double glazing

On this project our main health and safety concern was that the building was live throughout the project, to manage this we had daily meetings with the charity CEO to discuss the work items on a going concern so we could plan the correct measures to ensure all safety for the operatives and tenants.
